Answers for the rights layer.

A practical guide to how Sovranly IP registers, protects, licenses, and verifies creative work. If your question is not here, the team is one call away.

01How does copyright registration work in Sovranly IP?

You upload a work to the Sovereign IP Vault, where the file is encrypted before it leaves your device. Sovranly IP creates a SHA-256 ownership certificate for the registered asset and anchors that certificate to an Ethereum L2. The certificate records a verifiable fingerprint and registration trail; it does not publish the creative file itself.

02How does the Sovereign IP Vault store and encrypt files?

The Vault uses client-side encryption, so the file is encrypted in your browser before storage. Encrypted content is stored using IPFS addressing, while the associated SHA-256 ownership certificate provides a stable integrity record. The Ethereum L2 anchor makes the certificate independently checkable without exposing the asset contents.

03What are licensing terms and Smart License Agreements?

Licensing terms define what a licensee may use, where, for how long, and under which payment and credit conditions. A Smart License Agreement turns those plain-language terms into a signed, traceable agreement with the parties, asset reference, permissions, and royalty logic attached to the same rights record.

04How are royalty splits automated?

The Interactive Royalty Splitter stores the agreed percentages and participants alongside the license terms. When a licensed payment is processed, the split instructions route the corresponding shares to the recorded participants, making the calculation repeatable and reducing manual reconciliation. The parties remain responsible for agreeing to accurate splits and applicable tax obligations.

05How does Zero Trust Media Shield control access?

Zero Trust Media Shield treats every access request as untrusted until it is verified. A licensee receives access only after the relevant identity, agreement, permission, and time or usage conditions are checked. Verification grants scoped access to the licensed media while the encrypted source remains protected from unverified viewers.
